Things that come to mind when thinking about Olivia Palermo: A sophisticated nature, impeccable ability to take a perfect picture every time, and of course (and likely the first thing), beyond chic style.
Palermo's wardrobe is the stuff wish lists are made of. Thankfully, the It Woman is bringing a taste of her penchant for poise to the masses in the form of her very own clothing line with Nordstrom's Chelsea28.
The thirty-two-piece collection is made up of classic Palermo silhouettes and what the designer calls "lifer pieces," including khaki culottes, new takes on the white button-up, and versatile outerwear (think long, military-inspired vests and tailored blazers). "One of the ideas behind this collection was really a focus of—the climate is so different in how a girl shops these days, you need pieces you can wear all year round and are transitional," Palermo explained as we walked through the collection in one of the suites at Soho's Crosby Street Hotel's.
And transitional these pieces are. Not only has Palermo accomplished the near impossible task of finding a place for countless women's styles in one collection, but she's also mastered the art of making fashion functional.
And for those of you unable to snag a piece from this season's picks, fear not, as Palermo will be returning to the line for upcoming Spring/Summer, Fall, and Holiday collections.
